At a glance
Rose of Sharon is Canada's first and only long-term care facility dedicated to providing culturally specific care to Canadian seniors of Korean heritage. We have begun the process of returning ownership of the Rose of Sharon home back to the Korean community. Ownership will fulfill our vision of Korean seniors living with respect and dignity. We are energized by this new chapter for the Korean-Canadian community.
We've launched this rapid-fire campaign to raise funds for the Rose of Sharon. With each Korean senior that is able to call the Rose of Sharon their home, you are helping to guarantee that they receive a strong community of support that provides exemplary care, peace of mind, and a fulfilling life experience.
Additional Information on Arirang Age-Friendly Community Centre
Arirang Age-Friendly Community Centre is a Canadian registered charity formed to provide a broad range of services to seniors, including specially adapted residential accommodations such as long-term care homes. AAFCC began by serving Korean-Canadian seniors with much-needed adult day care programs in the Greater Toronto Area. Since then, AAFCC has worked with its partner organizations to lead efforts to provide better, more comprehensive senior care for the Korean community.
